At Professional Therapy Associates (PTA), we are proud to offer an Intensive Therapeutic Day Program designed specifically for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our program stands out because of its individualized, multidisciplinary approach, which includes evidence-based ABA therapy alongside a comprehensive range of other therapies. Here’s a look at what makes our program unique and effective:

Multidisciplinary Approach:

Our Intensive Therapeutic Day Program brings together a team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Licensed Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Physical Therapists. This collaborative approach ensures that each child receives a holistic evaluation, with a customized treatment plan tailored to their individual needs and development.

Medical Necessity Assessment:

We conduct in-depth evaluations to determine the medical necessity of services and develop treatment plans that are specific to each child's needs. This personalized assessment ensures that every aspect of the child's therapy is meaningful and effective.

One-on-One ABA Services:

Our program includes one-on-one ABA services delivered by ABA therapists, with oversight by BCBAs. This individualized, evidence-based intervention is effective for children with ASD, promoting skills development and behavior management in a structured setting.

Comprehensive Services:

While ABA therapy is the cornerstone of our program, we also provide a variety of other specialized therapies, including speech therapy, feeding therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. These services address all aspects of a child’s development, ensuring they receive comprehensive support in every area.

Specialized Therapeutic Equipment:

We utilize a variety of therapeutic equipment, such as vestibular swings, balance beams, sensory bins, and other tools designed to aid in sensory integration and motor skill development. These resources help create a stimulating and supportive environment that promotes learning and growth.

Structured Social Skills Instruction:

We integrate structured social skills instruction into our program, recognizing its importance for children with ASD. Activities like Circle Time, designed by our therapists, help children reach developmental milestones while promoting positive social interactions and communication.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC):

For non-verbal or minimally verbal children, we incorporate AAC devices and tools to help them communicate effectively. This empowers children to express their needs, thoughts, and feelings, providing them with greater independence and self-expression.

Developmental Order:

In designing activities and objectives, we carefully consider developmental order to ensure that skills are taught in a logical, step-by-step progression. This structured approach helps children master foundational skills before moving on to more complex tasks.

Our Intensive Therapeutic Day Program at PTA offers a holistic, individualized approach to supporting children with ASD. By combining ABA therapy with a range of other therapeutic modalities and specialized equipment, we create an environment that is not only supportive but also stimulating. Our commitment to evidence-based practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, and personalized care ensures that every child has the best opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
